In July 2018, 24 major excavator manufacturers included in the statistics sold more than 11,100 excavators, a year-on-year increase of 45.28%, and sales reached a record high in the same month for the third consecutive month. In the first seven months, the cumulative sales of excavators exceeded 131,000 units, a significant increase of 58.65% compared with approximately 82,700 units in the same period last year. The possibility of a record high for the whole year was further improved from last month. The sales volume of small, medium and large digging was about 63,000 units, 48,000 units and 2 million units respectively, accounting for 48.2%, 36.8% and 15.0% respectively. Further subdivision, 19.5 < a ≤ 24.9 and 5 ≤ a ≤ 6 and 6 < a ≤ 13 tonnage range excavators are the more popular, sales are around 31,000 units, the two together accounted for almost half of the total sales.
